Kara & Ethan - October 3

The first Saturday in October fround us in Richland, NJ at the beautiful Forum at St Augustine's Prep.  The room was impeccably decorated from flowers to linens and you couldn't even tell you were in a school.  The catering was provided by Feast Your Eyes and Lynn and the entire staff were perfect professionals.

Oh yeah, boy did they dance.  Wth Kara & Ethan leading the way, the dance floor was crowded all evening long & gave us one of those nights where everything is really perfect.

Thank you to Kara & Ethan for having us - we hope you had as much fun as we did!

Tammy & Dan - September 26

Tammy & Dan's wedding has been on our schedule for a long time now & it was definitely worth the wait.  Tammy was a bridesmaid at a wedding we'd played in NYC last summer & booked us for her own wedding a few days later.  It also marked our first ever appearance at the incredibly cool FUEL House in Old City, Philly.  This gorgeous old building was once upon a time a bank and has been converted into a beautiful event space.  It was also the home of MTV's Real World when the show was filmed in Philly a few years back...

There was a large Ukrainian-American presence in the families & guests at this wedding & we learned a few traditional Ukrainian songs that were a bit different than the average requests, but definitely fun to play.

There were many wonderful events packed into this reception, but when it came time for dancing, Tammy, Dan, their families & guests made use of every note we played.  At one point the Bride & Groom joined us onstage as Tammy sang lead vocals for awhile.  Thanks to them for including us in their amazing evening!

Heather & Tom - September 19

Saturday 9/19 found us at the North Hills Country Club in Glenside, PA for the wedding of Heather & Tom.  They'd originally found us via some old family friends & we couldn't have asked for two nicer people to deal with throughout the planning process.

The dance floor was jammed until the end of the night, people were singing & dancing to everything we threw at them.  All in all, you can't get a much better Saturday night. Thanks Heather & Tom for including us in your plans!

Eleanor & Jeff - September 18

We first met Jeff & Eleanor this past summer at The Italian Festival in Wilmington...just a few short months later were heading down the shore to their wedding at Harrah's Atlantic City Country Club.  This was definitely not your average Friday evening wedding.  These people were serious about getting the weekend started right!

The Bride & Groom set the tone for the evening and it was evident to everyone in attendance how much they were enjoying their guests, their wedding & each other!  This was an incredibly fun gig for us, the ACCC staff and everyone in the house.

Thanks to Jeff & El for including us and making us a part of their evening!

Carrie & Michael - September 13

We only connnected with Carrie & Michael about 8 weeks before the wedding, so it was one of the shorter run-ups we've had lately.  Everything came together beautifully though on a perfect Sunday afternoon at Aldie Mansion in Doylestown, PA.

It wasn't the biggest crowd we've had recently, but what they lacked in numbers they more than made up for in enthusiasm.  Thanks to Carrie & Michael for making us a part of your day!

CPN

Amy & Shawn - September 12

Our first wedding of the fall season was also our first ever appearance at the beautiful Talamore County Club in Ambler, PA.  Amy & Shawn hired the band a lonnnng time ago after seeing a showcase performance and we had plenty of time during the preparations to learn what wonderful people they and their families are.

The guests were on the dance floor immediately and stayed there all evening.  Amy was out there with them for much of the night & it just proves the old rule that if the Bride dances, everyone dances!

A big thanks to Amy & Shawn for making us a part of their day - we had a great time at your wedding....but we still don't understand what the chicken guy was doing there?!?

Uyen & Joe - September 5

This was easily one of the most interesting & enjoyable weddings we've ever played.  The Bride is Vietnamese-American attorney and the Groom a recently retired US Marine Corp Brigadier General...yes, that's right - a General.  Their wedding was in DC - well, technically just across the Potomac river in Arlington, VA at The China Garden

Uyen & Joe's wedding combined many elements of Asian culture including traditional dances, a Lion Dance and an endless choice of Asian Cuisine.

It was amazing to see the cultures of the bride & groom's families coming together to celebrate their marriage, but also to enjoy each other's company - not to mention being one of the most enthusiastic dancing crowds we've ever seen!

We even got in a little sightseeing on the ride back to Philly.  Thanks so much to Uyen & General Joe for making us a part of your day!

Meghan & Matt - September 4

We kicked off Labor Day Weekend '09 at the beautiful Rivercrest Golf Club in Phoenixville at the wedding of Meghan & Matt.  They had first seen us performing at a few other weddings - those couples were also in attendance, so it really was like playing for old friends.  You could tell from their guest's enthusiastic reactions to their introductions & first dance that it was going to be a great night.

This group was definitely ready to party & wasted no time at all in showing that.  These kind of truly happy weddings are just infectious & everyone shared in the good times.

Tery & Michael - August 30

We closed out the month of August with Tery & Michael at the Omni Hotel @ Independence Park in Philadelphia.  This wedding was just a flat out party from the cocktail hour on & even though it was a Sunday night, it sure felt like a Saturday!

Tery led the dancing all night (our favorite kind of bride!) and barely took a break.  Her guests followed her lead & made our job really easy.  Thanks for having us guys!

CPN

Libby & Bill - August 29

We had an absolute blast playing for Libby & Bill's wedding at The Villanova Conference Center.  It was an afternoon wedding, but the crowd partied like it was late on a Saturday night.  The dance floor was mobbed from the first song to the last & it felt like they entertained us as much as we did them!

Libby had to be one of the most laid back brides we've ever had & their guests were awesome.  Bill was a former member of the Villanova Spires A cappella vocal group and at one point, they reunited on the dance floor to treat everyone to an impromptu performance.  Thanks so much for having us!

Williamstown Fire Company Centennial - August 15

Scott's (our trumpet player) brother-in-law is a firefighter for the Williamstown Fire Company & asked if we'd appear at their centennial celebration - we were happy to do so!

It was a chance to play some material that we don't break out at weddings (Pearl Jam anyone?) and our families were able to attend as well.  Oh yeah, no suits & ties either.  Thanks to Bob & the whole company for your hospitality!

CPN

Katie & Trevor - August 8

Katie & Trevor's wedding was one of the more unique & lovely settings we've ever played.  Their wedding & reception were held on Katie's family's farm - Arasapha Farm in beautiful Glen Mills, PA.  Along with all of the guests, there were horses, sheep, goats - you name it, they were there!

The wedding party arrived in a great carriage drawn by two white horses and our stage was actually on top of a big hay wagon set directly beneath a beautiful (gigantic!) old tree.

Katie, Trevor, their friends and family couldn't have been nicer or made us feel more at home.  The large tent was illuminated as evening settled in and right after the dancing was over, the reception was capped by a SERIOUSLY BIG fireworks show right there on the farm.  Traffic was jammed for at least a 1/2 mile around the property as passersby in their cars stopped to watch the show.  This was the third wedding we've played for Katie's family & each one has been very special.  Dad said there was one more to go - so someday we hope to complete the quartet!

Nikki & Chris - July 18th

Saturday night found us in Chester County, PA at The Desmond Hotel.  Nikki & Chris had hired us a few months back after attending one of our live showcases & it seemed as if their wedding day got here in a serious hurry!  Chris is a huge Star Wars fan and that was reflected in what was probably the most unique wedding cake we've ever seen!

Nikki & Chris definitely set the tone for the evening & their guests picked up on their obvious happiness & kept the dance floor crowded throughout the evening.  It seemed as if one highlight followed another all night long & as you can see here, Deana is "leaving it all on the field"...

A few times toward the latter part of the evening, the crowd's spontaneity towards the music we were playing was incredible & as all good parties do, seemed to just fly by...to us, the last picture here is proof that we're connecting & it's what we like to see every night!

CPN

Katie & Mike - July 17th

We kicked off a great weekend on Friday evening in beautiful Blue Bell, PA at the Blue Bell Country Club.  We had a little bit of a personal connection to this wedding, as Katie's mom was one of my son's grade school teachers.  Katie, Mike & their families were an absolute pleasure and their guests came seriously prepared to party!

The dance floor was completely jammed all night long - we had guest percussionists and I think the crowd entertained us as much as we did them!

We learned a few new songs for Katie & Mike that were a lot of fun to play.  It's really great to discover new subtle things about songs you thought you knew - but really didn't until actually learning them for a performance.  It's one of the many things that keeps what we do from ever becoming routine!
